An unlikely duo have become the best of friends.
Video shows the adorable moment a dog named Lucy befriends a dolphin swimming alongside its boat.
The Rottweiler-Husky mix was on her owner, Cliff Gilchrist’s, charter boat on Florida’s Captiva Island when the friendly mammal – who he names Gus – made an appearance.
The pair are seen just inches away from one other in the video captured by Eileen McGunagle, a customer of Gilchrist’s boat company Captiva Island Fishing Charters.

She posted the video titled ‘Lucy and her friend’ to Facebook, which has garnered more than 350,000 views since it was taken last month.
In an interview with Naples Daily News, Gilchrist said Lucy has been coming on board since she was six months old.
‘She’s my best friend,’ he added.
Gilchrist even takes Lucy on his fishing excursions up to five days a week.
Lucy’s front paws appear to be hanging over the edge in a risky move but manages to keep her balance.
However, Gilchrist said she has never fallen overboard and often makes friends with curious marine life that swim up to the boat.
‘She seems to like the boat,’ Gilchrist said. ‘Although she may like golf cart rides better. She gets super excited for that.’
