Selma Blair showed off her nipped waist and flat stomach, in a cropped T-shirt recently. The 45-year-old actress is a keen horse-rider and the mother of one is also a gym fan, trying everything from pole dancing to yoga and weight training.

WHAT TO TRY: Russian Twists with V-sit are a great stomach toner. Sit on the floor holding a dumbbell in front of you at arm’s length. Lean back slightly, raise feet just off the floor. Slowly and under control, rotate to one side, holding the weight at arm’s length. Return to the centre and twist to the other side, then back to the centre.

This is one repetition. After four, perform a V-sit. From sitting position raise your upper and lower body at the same time to meet in the middle, as if forming a letter V. Control your upper and lower body as you lower yourself, using stomach muscles for the crunching movement. Do four more Russian Twists. That’s one set. Repeat three sets.
