The advisory warning was carried into Tuesday, Mass Live reports.

Because of wind chill, some areas in Massachusetts saw insane temperatures that felt like -40 degrees on Monday. Others experienced lows that felt like the -20s. The Boston area was around the negative teens.

Hypothermia and frostbite are common under those types of temperatures.

‘The dangerously cold wind chills could cause frostbite on exposed skin in as little as 10 minutes,’ the National Weather Service said.
