Barcelona right back Nelson Semedo has opened up on his training-ground bust up he had with Neymar back in July.

The pair stared each other down before having a heated argument during a training session on Barcelona’s pre-season tour of America, which led to team-mates having to separate the duo.

Not long after the spat, the 25-year-old completed a record-breaking £198million move to Paris Saint-Germain, which Semedo reveals took it’s toll on him.

‘It was a normal training situation, but it went to another level. It did not affect me because I had the support of the whole team and my friends,’ Semedo told Mundo Deportivo.

‘I had just arrived and one of the most influential players on the team came into conflict with me after a normal training situation.

‘It bothered me at the time, but I also managed to understand: he was in a difficult time, he wanted to leave.’

The Portuguese right-back went toe-to-toe with the now PSG man after challenging for the ball.

The Barcelona squad stood and watched before having to intervene as Sergio Busquets had to restrain the frustrated Brazilian.

Neymar then storm off the pitch before throwing his vest to the ground.

The duo have since exchanged apologies after Barcelona’s 3-2 victory over Real Madrid at the end of July.
