Sky Sports News presenter Kirsty Gallacher arrives at Slough Magistrates’ Court
Sky Sports presenter Kirsty Gallacher has appeared in court charged with drink-driving.
The 41-year-old, from Virginia Water in Surrey, has admitted driving a vehicle while above the legal limit at Slough Magistrates’ Court.
She was arrested in Eton, Berkshire, on Saturday August 12 after witnesses saw her driving erratically.
Officers tracked her parked BMW X4 using CCTV and conducted a roadside breathalyser test.
She was shown to have an alcohol level was of 106 microgrammes in 100 millilitres of breath.
The drink-drive limit is 35 microgrammes per 100 millilitres of breath.
Dressed in a long black coat, the TV host appeared close to tears as she walked past photographers and into the court, accompanied by her legal team.
The former Strictly Come Dancing contestant appeared in the dock wearing black and spoke only to confirm her name, address and plea.
District Judge Lachhar described the charges as ‘very serious’ and is expected to sentence Gallacher later today.

Miss Gallacher is considered the poster girl for Sky Sports News and will celebrate her 20th anniversary with the channel next year.
The night before her arrest she had appeared on the channel at 6pm for an hour-long show to preview the start of the Premier League football season.
She later joined friends at the Winning Post pub in Winkfield, Berkshire.
It is believed that Miss Gallacher was on her way to collect sons Oscar, nine, and Jude, six, from her ex-husband’s home the following morning, when she was stopped in Eton.
A friend of Miss Gallacher told the Daily Mail: ‘We know for a fact that she will continue presenting Sky Sports News.
‘We do not know what will happen after the court case. That would be pure speculation at this stage. The matter is now with Kirsty’s lawyers.’
Miss Gallacher has become almost as well-known for her healthy lifestyle and fitness regime as for her broadcasting career.
Earlier this year she featured on the cover of Fit And Well magazine. She has said that although she is in her 40s she is in the best shape of her life.
Speaking shortly after her arrest last month, a spokesman for Miss Gallacher said: ‘Kirsty and her family will not be making any further comment at this time.’
