Will Smith shares selfie with Nick Kyrgios after his win

Nick Kyrgios gushed over Will Smith following his third round win at the Australian Open on Friday night.

And now it appears that the tennis star’s feelings for the American acting legend are mutual.

Continuing their newfound bromance on Saturday morning, 49-year-old Will took to Instagram to share a selfie with the 17th seed Nick, accompanied by the caption: ‘This match last night was CRAZY!!’

In a four-set thriller that lasted a marathon three hours, Nick defeated Frenchman Jo-Wilfried Tsonga as Will watched from the stands.

Following his epic win, the Australian tennis ace told the crowd that it was the Hollywood icon who helped push him to victory.  

‘People think I’m cool but I wanted him [Will] to think I was the coolest person ever,’ Nick revealed.

‘This match last night was CRAZY!!’ Will also shared a video as he watched the three hour, four set thriller from the stands 

‘Honestly when I saw him out here I was so nervous, no joke.’

‘I got to tell him – I have Focus on my phone and I watch it every time I have a flight. Best movie ever,’ he added.  

Will was seen laughing as he gave a thumbs up from his seat in the crowd.

It appears Nick’s win has given the actor a newfound appreciation for tennis. 

The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air star also told his 5.4 million followers on Saturday that ‘I haven’t been to many Tennis matches. But, Now… I’m pretty sure I’m hooked!’.

He also shared a video from his seat during the match, where he addressed his stylish outfit, stating: ‘Yes, I got an ascot [tie] on but that’s none of your business’.

The actor has been in the country for the past week, seen climbing the Sydney Harbour Bridge, visiting wildlife parks and and enjoying brunch in Bondi.
