In a surprising turn of events, a third party intervened by striking the man involved in the brawl on the back of his head.

Shortly after, law enforcement officials swiftly stepped in to diffuse the situation and escorted the instigator out of his seat.

The exact trigger for the altercation remains unclear, prompting Victoria Police to launch an ongoing investigation into the incident.

Fortunately, the 36-year-old man involved sustained minor injuries.

Footy fans were quick to comment on the incident, with one quipping: ‘Carlton players don’t even show this much fight’.

In an unrelated incident during the same match, a 28-year-old woman allegedly slapped a 16-year-old boy.

Police authorities promptly intervened and engaged with both parties involved.

However, the teenager opted not to pursue charges against the woman.

The police spokeswoman reported that the woman has been charged with unrelated offences.

Despite these incidents, the police spokeswoman expressed overall satisfaction with the behaviour of the crowd.
