Pedri and Ferran Torres ensured Barcelona began life at the Estadi Olimpic Lluis with a victory with their late goals securing a 2-0 win against Cadiz.

Xavi’s side had been frustrated by the visitors for much of the match at their temporary home, as extensive renovations take place at the Nou Camp this season.

Pedri broke the deadlock in the 82 minute, with 20-year-old latching onto Ilkay Gundogan’s through ball to slot past Jeremias Ledesma.

Torres ensured the reigning champions would secure a first victory of the season, with the forward racing onto a flick on before firing into the bottom right corner in stoppage time.
