Big Brother winner Chad Hurst returns with new business venture three years after taking home $235,000 on the reality show

You may remember him as the hunky housemate that took the Big Brother crown in 2020, but now Chad Hurst is flexing his muscles in a whole new arena.

Almost three years after emerging victorious on the Channel Seven reality show, the Aussie heartthrob has swapped diary rooms for dumbbells.

Partnering with friend Samer Trebincevic, Chad recently opened the doors to his Air Locker gym in North Sydney.

Speaking about his new venture, he told Daily Mail Australia, ‘Lifting weights with my mates back in school got me hooked onto fitness. That love saw me becoming a certified trainer in 2011.’

He continued, ‘A good mate introduced me to Air Locker, and after delving into the brand Sam and I were bowled over. The fierce passion behind the brand just sealed the deal.’

Air Locker training is the latest exercise craze to take over the Australian fitness scene.

Its high intensity resistance training in a simulated altitude setting – 2800 to 3600 above sea level.

Oxygen is reduced to 13% (compared to 21% outside) which makes your body work harder.

The reported benefits include up to 30% more fat loss, great for soft tissue repair, and a huge boost in serotonin.

Hurst previously worked as a personal trainer at celebrity hotspot ACERO before deciding it was time to live out his dreams and run his own business. 

Chad, who is signed to modelling agency IMG, previously expressed his gratitude for the opportunities that come from modelling in an interview with Daily Mail Australia.

‘Life in the fashion world for me has always been a great ride. The opportunities and adventures it has given me, I’ll always be grateful,’ he said.
