The children had been joking around in the living room when the boy went outside and grabbed a shotgun hidden beneath the home, according to the affidavit.

When he returned, the boy then pointed the loaded weapon at everyone in the room, witnesses said.

He even challenged those in the room while the gun was leveled at Eunice saying, ‘Say I won’t,’ according to the affidavit.

A guest then replied, ‘You won’t,’ and that’s when the boy allegedly pulled the trigger, striking Eunice in the head.

The girl’s family is heartbroken over their loss and have questions about what happened.

‘I was devastated because why would a 12-year-old have a shotgun in their possession?’ her grandmother, Terri Eunice, asked WJXT.

The woman still thinks there are others who need to held accountable for what happened to her granddaughter.

‘If you have a sleepover with several kids, why isn’t there adult supervision in the home,’ she said.
