Spanish police say all three were at home when the toddler accidentally ingested some cannabis they had on the premises.

Officers who visited the house seized 24.8 grams of hashish, 248 of cannabis and products for the cultivation of marijuana.

The investigation was started after the little girl was admitted to a hospital because of cannabis intake. At first, just the father and uncle were arrested for their alleged involvement.

The child was admitted to the hospital with her mother who was also detained after her daughter was discharged.

The police report and those arrested have already been made available to the courts.

Police have confirmed the parents and uncle are all British though it is not known if they were living in Marbella or on holiday.
