Brooke Warne and boyfriend Alex Heath look loved-up as they head out for a stroll in socks and slides

Brooke Warne cut a casual figure on Thursday when she stepped out for a romantic stroll in Brighton with her long-term boyfriend Alex Heath.

The soon-to-be ‘fashion insider’, 24, appeared content as she soaked up the sun in a white Adidas T-shirt and grey tights, throwing a thick jumper across her shoulders.

Wearing socks and slides together, the pinnacle of Australian fashion, the eldest child of the late cricketer Shane Warne finished her look with some trendy frames.

Meanwhile, Alex slipped into a black hoody to protect himself from the temperamental Melbourne climate before donning a pair of black shorts.

Also rocking the socks and slides combo, the hunk kept close to his famous love during their sunny walk.

Their outing comes after Brooke revealed on Sunday she will be working behind-the-scenes as an apprentice at Melbourne Fashion Week.

She will work alongside AFL player Jack Silvagni with Redken as the event’s official hair partners.

‘I have never been before but I’m really excited. I’m excited to learn from the experts,’ Brooke told Herald Sun.

The Collingwood star added: ‘It’s a little nerve-racking and I’m pretty basic when it comes to hair but it will be interesting to see what goes on.’

Brooke continued: ‘Hair is such a big thing for an outfit, I’m pretty good with make up and fashion but I need some help. I’m loving the Redken ABC products.’

The soon-to-be co-workers recently scouted the Le Méridien Melbourne where the opening runway of the annual fashion event will take place.

Melbourne Fashion Week this year anticipates more than 300 participating designers will attend along with more than 300 retailers for 100 events.
