This is the dramatic moment firefighters rescued a massive Shire horse after it got stuck in a sewage pit.
The horse called Bill had to be saved when he fell into the deep hole after being spooked in field in Hildersham near Cambridge.
Firefighters used a tractor from a farm to lift the distressed animal out of the muddy ditch on Tuesday.

To ensure Bill’s safety, straps were put underneath him before he was hoisted up and left in the care of the owner.
Cambridgeshire Fire and Rescue Service said the horse had a few cuts and bruises but was recovering well and was back with its owners.
