A bizarre video of a cat that had its tail shaved after a visit to the vets has sent viewers into hysterics.
Don Sutherland, 22, shared the footage of his pet Aslan sauntering around their house in Calgary, Alberta, Canada.
The end of the ginger cat’s tail has been amputated and the stumpy remaining section has been have been shaved along with the surrounding area of Aslan’s rump.

Don has left viewers in shock with one posting on the clip: ‘Idk what I was expecting a hairless tail to look like but it sure as hell wasn’t that’
The footage has prompted thousands of comments and memes likening the unfortunate feline’s backside to an elephant, a bonobo monkey and – inevitably – male body parts.
Don was hoping Aslan would get stitches but was given the shock of his life when he got his beloved pet back with his ‘entire tail and backside’ shaved off.
In the clip, the ginger cat, who is wearing a collar to stop him licking or biting his injured tail, knocks into a cupboard and slowly walks around a tray of his cat litter.
Social media users have said Aslan looks like an elephant or index finger with his freshly shaven tail. In the clip he pauses and looks up at Don as though he has caught on to his filming
Aslan continues to sniff and explore the room while Don focuses on filming the pink tubular tail.
And the video has sent the internet into meltdown with 7.4k comments and 9.57m views.
Sabie wrote: ‘You just ruined my fav activity which is Stoking [sic] my cats tail.. it will never be the same.’
Twitter user Frostbyte said ‘his cat has an elephant bro’ while Kris Rapley added how the tail looks like an index finger.
