Singer Cher, 72, surprised unsuspecting fans when she stopped by an ice-cream shop in New Zealand on Saturday.

The Believe songstress took a break from her international tour to stop and get gelato at Auckland’s Giapo.

She was pictured holding a ‘chocolate evolution’ cone, which has three types of chocolate, and posed for fan photos.

Annarosa Petrucci, a spokesperson for Giapo, told Stuff: ‘It’s just the coolest thing ever that we were able to give her a ‘taste’ of Auckland’.

‘On top of that she was such a sweetheart in store.’

The pop mega star reportedly tried to hand over a $100 tip.

While staff declined the tip, they described Cher being in their store as ‘absolute delight of an experience’.
