Chezzi Denyer opens up on marriage to Grant

Grant Denyer’s wife Chezzi has spoken about her strained marriage to the Family Feud star in a revealing interview with New Idea on Monday.

The Jeans for Genes ambassador has revealed how her husband’s TV and racing obligations forces him to be home for only six weeks last year, missing quality time with the couple’s kids Sailor, six, and Scout, one.

‘Last year Grant was only home six weeks out of the whole year – with all his motor racing and TV commitments – so it wasn’t long,’ Chezzi told the publication.

Raising their children on the couple’s isolated property near Bathurst, the former Sunrise producer went on to describe the heartbreak she felt following Grant’s near death experience after his 160km/h car crash back in March of this year.

‘I wasn’t expecting that call, it was a big shock,’ she explained.

‘It came on the day Grant had been announced as a Gold Logie nominee, so I thought people were ringing to congratulate us.’
