But Chris Evans and Ryan Reynolds put their superhero powers to work after a call to grant a dying boy’s final wish was heard across Twitter on Sunday evening.

Shannon Bream shared she was hoping to fulfill a little boy’s final request for a greeting from one of the Avengers, only to hear back that Captain America and almost-Avenger Deadpool could indeed help the cause.

‘Need your help Twitterverse – trying to help a young boy who is dying,’ Shannon tweeted at 2:07 p.m. on Sunday. 

‘He probably has just days and all he want is a greeting from one of the Avengers. If you have a celeb connection, please let me know. Otherwise, could you help out with a RT? Thank you in advance!’

Thousands of fans and followers took to Twitter to like the post and share it with their friends on social media.

‘Happy to! DM me,’ he quickly responded back.   

Minutes later, Deadpool star Ryan Reynolds tweeted his support to the cause.

‘I’m more of a “Reserve Avenger”. But happy to help. DM me,’ the father-of-two wrote to the journalist.
