Couple are left amused by mother-in-laws RUDE engagement gift

Couple are left red-faced at mother-in-law’s engagement gift that shows the groom in a VERY compromising position

  • A couple, from the UK, received handcrafted engagement gift from their in-laws
  • It featured hand-carved metal of the romantic moment the proposal took place
  • Man’s unfortunate hand placing painted completely different and crude picture
  • Social media users took to comments section to admit took them a while to see

A couple were left amused when the handcrafted gift they were given by their in-laws in celebration of their engagement featured a rather awkward design flaw.

The anonymous lady, believed to be from the UK, was so delighted by the couple’s proposal she decided to carve a recreation of the special moment out of metal.

But while the sweet gesture at first appears to show the outline of the man bent down on one knee popping the question, his unfortunate hand placing painted an entirely different scene.

A snap of the amusing present was shared on Instagram page Awkward Family Photos, where it has since received over 23,000 likes.

And it wasn’t long before social media users spotted the naughty error and took to the comments section to share their amusement.

‘Once you’ve seen it, you can’t unsee it,’ joked one, while another simply penned: ‘Just too funny!’

A third wrote: ‘First glance: how sweet. Second glance: OMG…..’ while a fourth commented: ‘This is everything. I love how it took us all a moment to see it.’

Those innocent-minded social media users admitted the crude element of the picture took them a while to see (pictured)

Meanwhile, others admitted they didn’t understand why the gift had gone viral at first, as it took a few moments to sink in.

‘I had to read the comments first to understand what was it about,’ penned one, while another commented: ‘I was trying to figure out why you liked this. And then. There it is.’

But many with a similarly innocent mind admitted that the moment was worth the wait.

‘Took me a minute but was a gem when I saw it,’ commented one social media user, while a second wrote: ‘Took me a sec and now laughing so hard. Especially reading the comments!’

A further penned: ‘Ha. Took me too long to get the joke. But…. It actually is a much better keepsake now than it was a photo.’
