David Campbell’s wife Lisa breaks her silence on claims their son is reincarnation of Princess Diana

Australian TV host David Campbell stunned the world on Sunday by sensationally claiming his son Billy, four, may be the reincarnation of Princess Diana.

And as the story sent shock-waves around the globe due to David’s eerily convincing account, his wife Lisa has now broke her silence on their family theory.

‘We are the biggest cynics, but for my four year old to know about The Queen’s summer residence in Scotland is beyond me explaining it,’ she told The Daily Telegraph on Wednesday.

Lisa continued: ‘As a parent, it makes me feel very special, and it also makes me think I’m fourth in line to the throne.’

The mum-of-three concluded that although she knows it sounds ‘mental’ they ‘can’t explain it’, with the parents now questioning if Billy’s claims may be true.

David first found Billy’s remarks humorous, he told Stellar on Sunday, until the child started making eerily accurate comments about the late Princess and her life.

‘It started when someone gave my wife Lisa, a card with Lady Di on it. Billy [aged two at this time] pointed and said, “Look! It’s me when I was a princess,”‘ wrote David.

Several months later, now aged three, Billy, who has a twin sister, is said to have kept insisting he was Diana, and mentioned the ‘sons’ he had ‘as a Princess’.

Shortly after, the couple were speechless as Billy accurately described the Royal Family’s Balmoral residence to their Scottish friends who were visiting.

David said Billy first claimed he was Princess Diana after he 'pointed at a picture of her and said "that used to be me"' when he was two-and-half. Pictured left Billy, right Princess Diana

With David and his family having no royal memorabilia at home and rarely discussing them, they were stumped where Billy could have found out such information.

As Billy then turned four, and still insisted he was ‘once a Princess’, the couple started to question him further about his ‘previous life’.

‘I have brothers and sisters. I have a brother called John,’ David said Billy responded to them when asked, ‘Who else was in your family when you were a Princess?’

The parents then ‘turned pale’ as they researched online and discovered Diana had a brother called John, who died as a child in 1960, a year before she was born.

Could it really be? However, David went on to reveal that it was Billy's most recent remark about his 'life as a Princess' that really made them 'stop in their tracks'

However, David went on to reveal that it was Billy’s most recent remark about his ‘life as a Princess’ that really made them ‘stop in their tracks’.

‘Lisa showed him another photo of Diana, and Billy said: “There’s me as a princess. Then one day the sirens came and I wasn’t a princess anymore,”‘ he penned.

The chilling comment is referring to Princess Diana’s tragic death in 1997, where she lost her life in a car crash in Paris.

Concluding his column, David questioned: ‘Will Billy grow up and never remember this? Could he actually be the reincarnated essence of the People’s Princess?’

As his column went viral, David elaborated on Monday’s Today Extra.

David explained that he and his wife Lisa have ‘tested’ their son’s apparent knowledge of Diana’s life – with incredible results.

David said: ‘We did a test. We put up [pictures of] all these castles – like Balmoral [and] Windsor – and we said, “Which one of these ones was your Balmoral Castle?”

‘And he was like, “That one!”‘

According to David, at that moment Billy pointed at the Scottish castle where Princess Diana and the rest of her family loved to holiday.

Furthermore, Billy also apparently told his parents that spirits came and took him away each night and brought him back home ‘by morning’.

‘When Billy was not sleeping very well as a baby, Lisa went in and asked him why. Billy replied, “Because they come and take me”,’ he said.

‘When Lisa asked who, Billy pointed to the roof and said, “They do, but they bring me back by morning”.’
