Married At First Sight’s Dean Wells confirms he is NOT vaccinated as he details his battle with Covid-19 – and reveals one of his family members died after contracting the virus

Married At First Sight star Dean Wells revealed on Thursday that he is not vaccinated against Covid-19, before detailing his battle with the virus in the past week.

The 43-year-old confirmed his status during a Q&A with fans, saying he’s never had ‘any doubt’ that Covid exists but chose not to get the vaccine so his ‘own natural immunity could deal with it’, saying he ‘didn’t trust’ big pharmaceutical companies.

Dean went on to say he’s glad that the vaccine does exist in society, while also revealing one of his family members had died after contracting the virus.

After someone asked if he was vaccinated, Dean responded: ‘It’s a sad situation that we’re in that I have to be worried about sharing that information, but f**k it. Truth is, I’m not vaxxed.

‘I didn’t get it. I don’t think it’s a conspiracy, I just wanted my own natural immunity to deal with it and I don’t trust the big pharma companies really.

‘I’m glad we have a vax, it seems to be working. I think now that we have so many people vaccinated and people are dealing with it with natural immunity, we shouldn’t have vax passports anymore.’

He was then asked how he felt after contracting the virus, to which he added: ‘I copped it pretty bad, and I’ve had a family member die from it.

‘It effects everyone differently – some people get sick for 24 hours, other people die. So who knows.’

He then described his symptoms, saying he had a ‘deep cough and headaches’.

‘I think I had respiratory infection by the name of Covid-19 that was very similar to a respiratory infection I had about 20 years ago, gave me about the same symptoms and same trouble,’ he said.

‘I was sick for about eight days, 10 days – five days really bad. It’s pretty bad. I had pretty bad headaches and just no energy. I’d get out of bed for 30 seconds and would want to get back in bed. That part lasted like three days.’

When someone asked a self-proclaimed ‘controversial’ question – if Dean thought the virus existed in the first place – he replied: ‘It’s not controversial at all, I had no doubt about it’s existence.

‘Now after getting it and getting quite sick from it, I’m like, “Why aren’t we looking into where this came from?” That’s the key factor. Where the hell did it come from, and why aren’t we putting all our time and resources into finding that out?’

He added that it is ‘f**king contagious’, saying everyone he knew got it within five days.

‘I’m talking like 50 or 60 people,’ he said.

Vaccinations are vital to reducing the spread of preventable diseases.

Any suggestion otherwise flies in the face of science and the advice of medical experts around the globe.

The coronavirus vaccine is a safe and vital measure being taken to protect the community from the spread of the virus.
