Driver SHOOTS a girl, 12, and boy, 13, for throwing snowballs at his car in Milwaukee

Group of children throwing snowballs at passing cars were SHOT at by a driver, who hit a girl, 12 and boy, 13

  • Police in Milwaukee, Wisconsin said a 12-year-old girl was found with a non-threatening gunshot wound on Saturday
  • Within minutes of finding the girl about 7.50pm, they found a boy, 13 who had also been shot in a separate incident
  • The boy also was suffering a non-threatening gunshot wound. Both victims were given first aide and taken to local hospital for treatment
  • An investigation found that both were part of a group of kids throwing snowballs and that one of the balls struck a white Toyota driven by the armed driver 

Two children who were part of a group of children throwing snowballs at passing cars were shot by a driver whose car was hit. 

The children – a 12-year-old girl and 13-year-old boy – were found with non-life threatening injuries about 8pm on Saturday in Milwaukee.

Police said the children were thought be part of a larger group who were playing around in the snow. However, when a snowball hit a white Toyota, an upset driver allegedly shot at the group, hitting the two children.  

Officers who found the injured children administered first aid before taking them both to a local hospital for treatment, police said on Twitter Monday.

A search is now on for the gunman.

The girl was the first found wounded by police, in the 6100 block of West Birch Street, police said in one of several tweets about the incident.

‘Upon arrival officers found a 12 year old Milwaukee female suffering from a non-life threatening gunshot wound,’ cops said in a second tweet. 

‘Preliminary investigation indicates both victims were with a group of juveniles throwing snowballs at cars passing by. One of the snowballs struck a white Toyota, no further description, and the driver of the auto fired shots into the group of kids striking the two victims,’ the police wrote in a third tweeted description of the incident.
