At one point, the man is seen being held in a chokehold by one of the security guards.

Police arrested the passenger after the incident which took place at Paris’s Charles de Gaulle Airport on Friday night.

It is understood that the incident happened after air stewards called the police to remove a group of men after they became concerned with their behaviour, reports the Mirror.

The video comes as thousands of passengers have been stranded after up to 300 flights were cancelled.

The flights have been grounded today and tomorrow after the French air traffic control called a strike – only to cancel their industrial action at the last minute.

Ryanair and easyJet had already taken the steps of cancelling or offering customers refunds, but the cancelled industrial action has left the airlines with little to no time to reinstate the previously scheduled journeys.

A easyJet spokesperson told the Mirror: ‘easyJet is aware of this disruptive passenger incident onboard prior to take off which was extremely distressing for the crew and passengers onboard.

‘The police were called to assist the crew in dealing with the incident and arrested the passenger.

‘The safety and wellbeing of our passengers and crew is easyJet’s highest priority.’
