Elon Musk reveals that Grimes ‘has a much bigger role than him right now’ when it comes to raising their two-month-old son X Æ A-Xii

Elon Musk welcomed his son X Æ A-Xii with 32-year-old musician girlfriend Grimes in early May.

And the 49-year-old CEO of SpaceX admitted that when it comes to caring for their two-month-old baby, Grimes ‘has a much bigger role than [him] right now.’

‘Well, babies are just eating and pooping machines, you know? Right now there’s not much I can do,’ explained Musk in an interview with the New York Times published on Saturday.

He added: ‘When the kid gets older, there will be more of a role for me.’

In the interview, Elon called Grimes – born Claire Elise Boucher – ‘pretty special’ and referred to the singer as ‘one of the most unusual people [he has] ever met.’

He also noted that he intends to use the relationships he has formed with his five older sons as a guide on how to later bond with the newborn, whom he and Grimes have nicknamed ‘X.’

‘I think just doing what I’ve done with my other kids,’ said Musk of his approach to fatherhood.

‘If I have a trip for Tesla to China, for example, I’ll bring the kids with me and we’ll go see the Great Wall or we took the bullet train from Beijing to Xian and saw the Terracotta Warriors,’ explained the Tesla co-founder.

Elon shares his five older sons Saxon, Xavier, Griffin, Damian, and Kai with ex wife Justine Musk, 47, whom he divorced in 2008.

They also had a sixth son, who sadly passed away at the age of 10-weeks from SIDS.

With the coronavirus pandemic keeping children out of the classroom, Elon created an online school for his eldest sons and claims it has ‘actually worked out pretty well’ for them.

The Canadian songstress wrote her message in response to one of Elon’s typical online rants in which he said: ‘Pronouns suck,’ shortly after writing ‘Twitter sucks.’

She responded: ‘I love you but please turn off ur phone or give me a dall [sic]. I cannot support hate.’

‘Please stop this. I know this isn’t in your heart,’ concluded Grimes.

Musk began dating Grimes in 2018 after they met at that year’s Met Gala.
