England legend’s son follows in dad’s footsteps by scoring in Three Lions comeback win over Germany as fans hail ‘MAGIC’ Man City youngster

The son of a former Three Lions legend has been hailed after scoring the winning goal in England’s Under-17s victory over Germany on Tuesday.

Harry Kane continues to inspire the younger generation after making a historic 100th national team appearance and scoring twice in England’s 2-0 win over Finland on Tuesday, and younger stars are already demonstrating their potential.

The youth ranks of England’s academy are blossoming as the stars of tomorrow look to force their way into Lee Carsley’s first-team plans and the son of an ex-England star is showing signs of following in his dad’s footsteps.

England famously beat Germany 5-1 on foreign soil in 2001, with Liverpool legends Michael Owen and Steven Gerrard being joined on the scoresheet by Emile Heskey in the shock win.

Heskey scored the fifth goal on that evening at the Olympiastadion in Munich, and one of his children are already showing they have what it takes to match his dad’s heroics.

Reigan Heskey began the day making his debut on the bench for England’s U17 squad, but made an almost instant impact by scoring the third goal to complete a resounding win over Germany.

Manchester United duo Kaden Braithwaite and Seth Ridgeon previously helped turnaround Germany’s initial 1-0 lead before Reigan came off the bench to complete the comeback win.

The 16-year-old winger rounded off a stylish attack as he burst over the halfway line before taking on his opposite number and finished powerfully with a powerful shot into the roof of the goal.

England’s official X account celebrated the youngster’s strike, hilariously tweeting: ‘An away win in Germany with Heskey on the scoresheet?’ accompanied by a winking face emoji.

Fans piled further praise on Heskey’s strike, with one post on X stating: ‘HESKEY MAGIC! Who else but Emile Heskey to score in a massive away win in Germany?’.

Heskey is now hoping to build on his international success in club football where he is part of Manchester City’s Under-18 Premier League squad and has one goal in three matches.
