Everton have given Bolton Wanderers permission to discuss a potential loan with left-back Antonee Robinson.

However, Robinson is in the final year of his contract and Everton will need to tie him down to extended terms before allowing him out.

The 20-year-old spent last season at the Macron Stadium and his performances earned him a call up to the USA squad at the end of the campaign.

He played against Bolivia and World Cup winners France where he particularly impressed up against Antoine Griezmann.

Everton see him as one for the future as they continue discussions over a £18million deal for Barcelona’s Lucas Digne who is lined up to replace Leighton Baines. 

They also have another option should the Digne deal, which has been agreed in principle, falter.

The Goodison Park outfit are also in talks with Barcelona over defender Yerry Mina and have offered over £27m for the Colombian.

But Sportsmail understands there is interest in Mina from an unnamed Premier League club as Everton look to tie up the double deal.

Newly-promoted Wolves have shown an interest in the centre-back, who starred at the World Cup, this week.
