EXCLUSIVE: The Block’s Shaynna Blaze FINALLY addresses her long-running feud with Scott Cam and what she thinks of his nasty comments

After years of alleged feuding, The Block’s Shaynna Blaze has finally broken her silence on the long-standing and much-talked-about rift with host Scott Cam.

Speaking to Daily Mail Australia at the Channel Nine’s 2024 upfronts on Wednesday,  the 60-year-old interior designer denied there was ongoing beef between the two.

‘Oh God, no, there’s nothing going on between me and Scotty,’ she explained.

‘There’s no bad blood. People just make stuff up. It happens every year…’

When questioned about what she thought about Scott taking a subtle swipe at her during a recent radio interview, Shaynna explained it’s ‘all a bit of fun’.

After years of an alleged feud, The Block’s Shaynna Blaze [L] finally breaks her silence on the long-standing and much-talked-about feud with host Scott Cam [R]

She hinted that these little frictions might just be a tactic to keep the audience hooked, stirring the pot to give the ratings a nudge northward.

Shaynna also weighed in on the brewing tensions and unfolding drama among the contestants on the show.

Giving her seasoned perspective, she said, ‘They’re all tested, they’re exhausted.’

‘I think it’s one of those things where if there’s no drama, they’re obviously not trying hard enough.’

It comes amid reports Shaynna is at her wits’ end with Scott’s unnecessary remarks.

‘He’s turning the set into a pressure cooker, making things a lot more strained than they need to be,’ a source told Daily Mail Australia last month.

'Oh God, no, there's nothing going on between me and Scotty,' she explained. 'There's no bad blood. People just make stuff up. It happens every year...'

‘She is really getting sick of his pointless comments. They’ve all got a job to do and these comments are just making things more awkward and tense than it has to be.’

Scotty infamously called Shaynna a b***h on national television back in 2017 after what he perceived as ‘unfair scoring’.

After the incident, fans called for Scott to apologise for the distasteful comment.

‘@ScottyCam9, there’s no justification for labelling @ShaynnaBlaze in such a manner. It’s high time for a genuine apology. #theblock #familyshow,’ an irate fan tweeted.

Furthermore, it wasn’t missed that Scott singled out Shaynna with the derogatory term, ignoring the male judges.

One viewer pointed out, ‘Highlighting @ShaynnaBlaze with that term on prime time TV is regressive and downright disrespectful.’

While Scott and Shaynna’s feud steals the spotlight, another twist comes from Shelley Craft, who didn’t hold back in a recent promotional chat.

Avoiding direct mentions but leaving little to imagination, she hinted at last year’s contestants Sharon and Ankur, calling their participation ‘an absolute disaster’ and dubbing them the ‘worst team.’

Shelley also spilled beans about the casting, emphasising that they lean towards ‘characters’ more than any actual building know-how.
