A young man was filmed taking a bubble bath in an industrial-sized kitchen sink at Wendy’s on Highway 90 in Milton, Florida, and was promptly fired by the fast food restaurant.

The video shows the barefoot then-employee stripping down to his shorts and climbs into the soapy ‘tub’.

He is egged on by his co-workers who shout ‘go, go, go!’ and ‘take a bath’.

At the start of the video, the young man takes off his shirt and strips down to his shorts while his co-workers tell him to ‘take a bath’

He sits down all the way in the giant sink and says ‘it’s warm’.

The woman behind the camera encourages him to ‘wash your armpits’ and ‘let’s see them toes’.

After the young man asks for a towel, his co-workers hand him paper napkins with which he jokingly rubs off some foam from his arms.

The camera swings round and shows two apron-donning co-workers who are also filming the bizarre bathing session.

At the end of the expletive-filled video, the woman holding the camera turns it to show her smiling face, and she is wearing a cap with the Wendy’s logo.

Haley Leach of Milton posted a screen recording of the Snapchat video on Facebook on Tuesday with the warning: ‘I don’t suggest anyone eating at the Milton Wendy’s again.’

Haley Leach of Milton shared the recording of a Snapchat video on Facebook because she thought the actions were 'appalling' and 'the public had the right to know'. The video went viral

The video went viral and was shared more than 13,000 times by Friday.

While most people’s comments were along the lines of ‘that is downright disgusting’, ‘that’s gross’ and ‘everyone should be fired and fined’, others made light of the situation.

‘It was just a little joke and y’all took it too far. Kids can’t ever do something without it being such a big problem,’ one woman wrote.

The young man’s employer did not see the funny side.

‘We are taking this incident seriously and it is obviously totally unacceptable,’ said Mike Johnson, Marketing Director of Carlisle, which owns the Milton Wendy’s franchise.

‘This was a prank by a person who no longer works at this restaurant, and who clearly did not use good judgment. We are taking this opportunity to reinforce our very strict quality procedures with our restaurant team,’ he told WEAR.

WEAR reports the Florida Department of Business and Professional Regulation investigated the Wendy’s on Wednesday afternoon, after receiving numerous consumer complaints following the viral video.

The restaurant stayed open for business, but only after passing inspection.

Its manager was briefed on sanitation, safety and the urgency of managerial control, according to an investigation report.

Leach said she shared the video because she wanted people to know what was happening at the operating restaurant.

‘The actions in the video were appalling and I felt like the public had the right to know,’ she told the Daily News.

Leach said she knows one of the individuals from high school.
