Former MAFS star Foxy JoJo slams Sam Ball for body-shaming

Sam Ball left viewers outraged after revealing his plans to help TV ‘wife’ Elizabeth Sobinoff lose weight during Sunday night’s episode of Married at First Sight.

And now former contestant Jo ‘Foxy JoJo’ McPharlin has slammed the tattooed reality star for his ‘body-shaming’ remarks, and has blasted Channel Nine for airing them.

Taking to Instagram, the blonde dubbed Sam a ‘narrow minded tw*t’ in a lengthy rant.

‘Yes MAFS is HIGHLY EDITED however they can only edit something that’s been said and for [Sam] to even think it let alone say it… Mate no wonder why you are single,’ she angrily penned.

‘It’s not ’cause you think you’re good looking it’s cause you’re a narrow minded tw*t and for you, Channel Nine, shame on you for body shaming ANYONE let alone this poor innocent young lady in front of your 1.4+ million viewers.’ 

Foxy, who has been a ‘massive fan’ of the show since 2014, said she ‘felt sorry’ for Elizabeth after comments about her weight were aired.

‘Tonight I was absolutely disgusted and appalled by the fact that in this day and age Channel Nine would stoop so low to body shame a female,’ she wrote. 

‘I feel nothing but sorry for Elizabeth who would have zero idea what her husband was thinking until tonight’s episode. My heart goes out to her and how she must be feeling right now.’

In a piece-to-camera, the tradie expressed his disappointment after seeing his ‘wife’ for the first time at their wedding at Hawkesbury River, in New South Wales.

‘Straight away I noticed the blonde hair. [It’s] not what I expected but [it’s] okay,’ he said.

‘I’ve never really dated girls as big as Elizabeth to be honest. It’s obviously a topic that’s troubled her in the past.

‘She’s got a beautiful face… Maybe I’ll get her running in the mornings…. but she’ll be right. We’ll get her going.’
