Front row: A Rae of style sunshine

A RAE OF STYLE SUNSHINE

We’ve been lusting after Rae Feather’s monogrammed basket bags since her label debuted five years ago. Next month sees the launch of her first ready-to-wear beach range, including kaftans and super-flattering sundresses that can be thrown over a swimsuit. I’m off to book a holiday…

ASK EMILY

Q: I have a summer workwear dilemma. After travelling to the office on a sweltering packed train, my boss insists on arctic air conditioning, so I need an outfit for all seasons! I’m bored of my go-to combo of tailored trousers and brogues and would love to experiment with something more feminine without looking overly girly. Any suggestions?

Lucy, London

A: I know the feeling, but I’ve found the answer: the easy-to-wear dress and blazer combo, as seen on the most discerning fashion folk in recent weeks and nabbed by me as my new office uniform. A midi-dress such as this one will keep you cool in the heat, and adding a blazer will make it office smart and deliver extra warmth when you need it. A pair of high-heeled ankle boots will really nail the look (and help with icy air con). Or, if you can get away with it, trainers will look great, too.
