Fury as ‘rich man’ reveals why he parks £130k 4×4 in supermarket’s disabled bay as he’s slammed for being ‘entitled’

People have slammed a self-proclaimed ‘rich man’ for his outlandish behaviour after he chose to park his £130,000 4×4 in a supermarket’s disabled bay.

Luke Desmaris, 28, posted a clip of him parking the large Mercedes vehicle in what appeared to be a Sainsbury’s cark park to his account on TikTok.

Explaining his reasoning behind doing so, Mr Desmaris took a swipe at disabled individuals, claiming he would be finished with his shopping before 100 people in need of a disabled parked spot would arrive.

He said: ‘I’m a very quick person and I need to be close to the shops to save time.

‘Time is money and within the two minutes I’m in the shop 100 disabled people are not going to show up. That’s why I’m parking in a disabled bay.’

Responding to the video, other users were quick to find a flaw in his supposed logic, as they pointed that if he wanted to save time by being closer to the shopfront, he could park outside of a disabled bay and be nearer the entrance.

One user retorted: ‘There are spaces closer to the shop doors though’.

A disabled individual added: ‘It’s not two minutes, it’s a disabled bay, I’m disabled and people like you are fit and healthy to walk a mile to the shops’.

Another pointed out that he simply had ‘no right to park there’.

A fourth also questioned why he was demonstrating the video in a seemingly empty car park, with no activity or the sight of other shoppers around him.

They wrote: ‘Better explain why he’s in an empty Sainsbury’s car park’.

It comes after Luke was filmed by a friend while driving his £130,000 Mercedes G Wagon into an empty bus lane to avoid a row of cars waiting in traffic.

The cost of fines for driving in bus lanes vary across the country.

Inside Greater London, you may may be charged up to £160, or £80 if you pay within 14 days, while in other parts of the country it can cost up to £60.

In the video, the online trader — who dropped out of school in sixth form — said: ‘To poor people this is a bus lane. To rich people it’s a VIP lane to avoid traffic. We don’t care about the fines.’

Desmaris was slammed by fellow drivers who were outraged by his actions.

Charlie Francis fumed: ‘Police and ambulance use these lanes for responding to emergencies.’

Nick Chorlton said: ‘So if everyone was rich its just another blocked lane.

‘Typical a**hole just because you can afford to do something doesn’t mean you should.’

Another person said: ‘Bit sad though. Obviously think you’re above everyone else.’

One added: ‘You will care when you lose your licence.’
