Leeds winger Helder Costa is reportedly close to completing a late move to Valencia.

The 27-year-old has fallen down the pecking order at Elland Road following the £30million deadline day arrival of Dan James from Manchester United.

Costa, who joined Leeds from Wolves in 2019, played a key role in helping Leeds achieve promotion from the Championship to the Premier League in the 2019-2020 campaign.

But the arrival of Raphina at the end of last season’s summer transfer window saw him lose his regular starting place.

And it seems another late summer addition will have an impact on the Portugese’s future.

According to the Yorkshire Evening Post, Costa is close to agreeing a move to Spanish side Valencia.

Spanish journalist Ruben Uria also confirmed there is an agreement in place between the two clubs but a deal is still to be finalised.

Costa has scored eight goals in 71 games for the Yorkshire side.

He started his career with Benfica before joining Wolves following the appointment of Nuno Espirito Santo in 2017.

The winger scored 19 goals and made 19 assists during his time at Molineux and helped the club gain promotion to the Premier League in 2018.

Costa then secured a second promotion to the top flight when Leeds won the Championship in 2020.
