James Maddison, Aaron Ramsdale, and Marc Guehi unwind from England duty with HILARIOUS challenges… but the Arsenal goalkeeper gets roasted after his hands let him down!

  • A bunch of England’s stars put their skills to the test in a host of challenges
  • James Maddison, Aaron Ramsdale and Marc Guehi provided hilarious content
  • The Arsenal keeper was on the receiving end of the jokes after one challenge

James Maddison, Aaron Ramsdale, and Marc Guehi traded England training for a light-hearted games session, but it wasn’t smooth sailing for all of them.

The viral challenges, hosted by Kelly Somers on Channel 4, were supposed to prove that ‘there are no easy games’, and they lived up to the billing.

The players were put through their paces in four games: ‘water overflow’, ‘petanque penalties’, ‘cups vs the clock’, and ‘water balloon challenge’.

And while Maddison emerged victorious, the same can’t be said for Ramsdale and Guehi ahead of tonight’s game against Malta.

As Ramsdale talked about his poor performance in games testing his steady hands, throwing, and reflexes, Somers couldn’t resist a small jibe at his expense, saying: ‘so basically all the challenges that a goalkeeper should be good at!’

The first challenge was ‘water overflow’, in which the three stars had to take turns pouring water into a cup until it overflowed.

After a tense battle, in which Maddison speculated it might be an ‘illusional cup’ due to how long they managed to avoid making it overflow, Ramsdale lost out.

Next up was ‘petanque penalties’, where each player had to throw a cup into a bucket from increasing distances.

Guehi didn’t score any of his shots, but Maddison and Ramsdale went to sudden death before the Leicester man came out on top.

Following this as ‘cups against the clock’, where they had to unstack a pyramid of plastic cups and pile them up vertically.

Guehi was by far the slowest, but Ramsdale could have won had he not managed to miss the stop button – this mistake cost him the game.

Finally, a ‘water balloon challenge’. For this, the players had to unpeel layers of balloons without popping the water balloon in the middle.

Once again, Guehi was the unfortunate man, getting splashed as he ripped open the water balloon.

The atmosphere among the players was friendly as they occasioaly put each other off their attempts.

As of next season, Maddison could well be wearing an Arsenal kit but Leicester are demanding at least £40 million for the playmaker.

Channel 4 are broadcasting England’s trip to Malta in the Euro 2024 qualifiers tonight. The game starts at 7.45.
