Jenna Bush Hager’s two daughters are heading off to school this week, and the proud mom couldn’t resist showing off their new back-to-school haircuts.

After returning home from Houston, Texas, where she met with Hurricane Harvey victims, the 35-year-old Today show correspondent took to Instagram Stories on Wednesday to share an adorable photo of her two-year-old daughter, Poppy, smiling while sitting in the stylist’s chair.

‘Back to school new you! (First time cut!),’ Jenna captioned the image, which sees the tot wearing a dog-patterned smock to protect her clothes.

Little Poppy is most-likely starting preschool this week, and she seemed pretty excited about her first haircut.

Jenna also shared a photo of her four-year-old daughter, Mila, who looks just as happy about her new ‘do.

The image sees the little girl smiling while showing off her blond locks, which were cut in face-framing layers.

The day before, Jenna shared photos of herself visiting a shelter in Houston where she met with both Hurricane Harvey volunteers and victims.

‘Thanks to all who have spent the last week volunteering in Houston,’ she caption an image of herself sitting on a floor with a group of children.

Jenna, who comes from one of Texas’ most famous families, spoke of her emotional trip to her home state while on the Today show on Wednesday morning.

‘It’s hard to leave,’ she told her co-stars Al Roker and meteorologist Dylan Dreyer, who covered the hurricane first hand.

‘Oh my gosh, this is my heart. Texas is my home, and to meet with people who have homes that they won’t ever return to,’ she of the emotional trip.

Jenna went on to explain that she was there working on a story that will be told through the eyes of the kids in the shelter.

‘They just wanted to play,’ she recalled. ‘It shows you how resilient children are.’

Jenna also visited a flooded school with Richard Carranza, superintendent of the Houston Independent School District, and she stressed that he has a ‘huge job ahead of him’ because a lot of the schools were flooded.

As a mom and former teacher, Jenna noted how important it is for children to have structure.

‘When kids don’t have that, there is an extra level of displacement, of fear,’ she explained.

‘It was hard to be there. It was great to be there. It was heartwarming to see these people giving their lives,’ she said of the trip.

Last week, Jenna took to Instagram to share an impassioned plea asking her 383,000 followers to make a donation.

Before heading to Houston, Jenna and her family enjoyed their last day of summer vacation by going on a boat ride with friends.

The mother-of-two shared a sweet photo of her and her husband Henry Hager holding their girls while on a boat ride with their pals and their children.   ‘

‘Goodbye summer 2017,’ Jenna captioned the group shot, which sees the children sporting blue and yellow life vests.

Jenna was wearing a floppy hat and a pink sweater, and she wasn’t the only one who was bundled up while out on the water.

However, the outing may have been too much for Mila who fell sound asleep on her mom’s lap.

While sharing a photo of Poppy curled up on her legs, Jenna wrote: ‘Legs fell asleep but worth it. One of the ‘loves’ of my life#chasingsummer #sweatersonaboat.’
