Jess Hart reveals her irreversible skin condition

Although she is known for her good looks, Jess Hart has revealed that she has every day skin concerns like most women.

The 31-year-old Australian model, whose face graces magazines and websites around the globe, has said she wishes she knew more about skin care when she was younger.

‘I would have loved to know more about the damages of the sun. I suffer severely from that now,’ she told Body+Soul.

Australian model Jess Hart, 31, (pictured) has revealed the skin condition that she now lives with

‘I have really bad pigmentation on my face and there is nothing I can do about it. It’s irreversible sun damage.’

To help repair the damage Jess has tried everything from skincare regimes to Fraxel laser and skin treatments.

‘They’re [skin experts] not sure if it’s sun or melasma, which is hormonal, and working out what’s happening would be too invasive and potentially more damaging.

‘The best thing I can do is stay out of the sun,’ she said.

The former Victoria’s Secret model hasn’t changed her approach to beauty but has altered her fitness routine over the years.

‘You’ve got to workout a little more. I’m really balanced, and don’t restrict myself much.

‘I’ve never been a fan of drinking water, but I’ve given in and am really noticing the difference it makes. I think when you turn 30 you have to do everything a little bit more,’ she continued.

Previously Jess told Mind Body Green that as a model she has to ensure that her skin is in peak condition.

‘Drinking a ton of water makes the biggest difference for my skin,’ she explained.

She said that she finds it hard to remind herself to hydrate throughout the day so adds a small amount of fruit syrup to her drink bottle.

On top of this she also swears by green juices and takes probiotics, glutathione, and vitamin C daily.

‘They help with hydration and pigmentation as well. I believe that good skin definitely starts in the gut, and I can really tell the difference when I’m not taking them.’
