John F. Kennedy’s grandson Jack Schlossberg took a break from the family’s traditional Fourth of July celebrations in Martha’s Vineyard this year in order to join his girlfriend and her nearest and dearest at home in Indiana.
The 26-year-old Harvard Law student, who is the youngest child of Caroline Kennedy and her husband Edwin Schlossberg, shared two photos from his trip to the town of Portage on his Instagram Stories on Thursday, posting a selfie of the happy couple, and a solo snap of his girlfriend, yoga studio founder Krissy Jones, 29.
Krissy, who co-founded trendy New York yoga brand Sky Ting, also posted several photos and videos from their getaway, sharing a photo of Jack at a firework store, as well as several shots that appear to have been taken on the beach at Lake Michigan.

She capped off her Fourth of July content with videos of her friends and family setting off fireworks in a driveway, also thought to be in Indiana.
The couple also took time to stop by the local parade, with Krissy posing in front of a Portage Fire Department truck, while wearing a simple white T-shirt that had the logo of her company down the front.
Krissy also shared an image of Jack at a local store stocking up on fireworks for the Fourth of July celebrations, with the law student posing behind a shelf that was stacked with all kinds of different DIY options – a few of which the pair appear to have purchased for later in the evening.
The yoga lover, who has starred in campaigns and photo shoot for Nike, and her beau visited a beach on Lake Michigan, with Krissy posting several photos of the sun-soaked sand dunes, along with the caption, ‘Home.’
Jack and Krissy then ended the day with an at-home fireworks display alongside some friends and family, who watched as the DIY rockets were set off at the end of a driveway.
In one video shared by Krissy, an unknown man – perhaps Jack – is seen running to the end of the drive to set off the firework, before running back to safety.

Although Krissy does not appear to have set off any of the display herself, she did take the time to pose with a box of ‘Sky Devil’ fireworks before they were set off; the yoga lover, who had her hair in braids, stuck out her tongue at the camera and held up a rock n’ roll sign with one hand while holding the rockets in the other.
It is not known exactly how long the couple has been together, however Instagram posts suggest their romance has been going on for at least at six months.
And it appears that Krissy’s love of yoga has rubbed off on Jack, with the law student posting several photos of himself performing different poses over the last year, including one in which Krissy was tagged back in February.
One person commented on the snap to congratulate Jack for ‘getting back together’ with Krissy – which suggests that the couple may have split before reuniting.
It could be that Jack has attended Krissy’s classes in New York City – where she teaches multiple times a week, both at the three-studio company she founded, and for Nike as one of its Master Trainers.
The former dancer counts a number of celebrities and high-profile personalities among her list of regular clients, including the likes of Barbara Bush – another member of a political dynasty, just like Jack – who is one of Krissy’s close friends.

In fact, Krissy was one of a few of the former first daughter’s nearest and dearest who attended her wedding celebrations in New York City, not long after she tied the knot with her new husband Craig Coyne at the family home in Kennebunkport, Maine.
While Jack and Krissy spent time together in Indiana, many other members of the Kennedy clan gathered at the family compound in Hyannis Port to celebrate Independence Day together.
Along with JFK’s nephew Robert F. Kennedy Jr. and his sisters Kerry Kennedy and Kathleen Kennedy Townsend, dozens of members of the family came together to celebrate the patriotic holiday – while making sure to pose for a huge group photo in the grounds of the sprawling estate.
But while the family gathering looked to be happy and carefree on the surface, it was not without its tensions behind the scenes.
In the family photo, Robert is seen standing right at the back of the group, as far away as possible from his sisters; that distance was likely due to his sisters taking very public stands against Robert when he decided to become an advocate for the anti-vaccination movement that continues to build support in some pockets of the country.
Robert, Kerry and Kathleen are cousins to Jack’s mother Caroline, who normally does not attend the large Kennedy family gatherings at the compound, having always chosen the relative quiet of her own Martha’s Vineyard estate over the years.

However she and her children would likely not have spent the holiday at the sprawling 340-acre property this year, because it was put on market just a few weeks before the Fourth of July for a whopping $65 million.
Located just a two-hour drive from the Kennedy compound at Hyannis Port, the estate, called Red Gate Farm, was first bought by Caroline’s mother, Jackie O, in 1979, and it remained in the family for 40 years, serving as a much-loved summer getaway for Jackie, her children, and their families.
But despite the family’s long history with the property, Kennedy added that she feels it is time for them to move on to something new.
‘Those grandchildren are grown so now it is time for us to follow my mother’s example and create our own worlds,’ she said.
‘We hope that a new family will treasure this place as we have for three generations. We are excited about the next chapter for Red Gate Farm.’
Although his mother has put their Martha’s Vineyard home on the market, Jack and his girlfriend share a love of the area.
The yoga guru has posted multiple images of herself soaking up the much-loved summer getaway over the years, and in a 2017 interview with fashion brand Margaux, she confessed to spending ‘a lot of her time that summer at Martha’s Vineyard’.
