In other footage, he rides alongside a man on a motorbike, holding a gun to the driver’s head.

Keanu is no stranger to action movies, known for iconic roles in Speed and The Matrix.

While Speed saw him guiding Sandra Bullock on how to save the passengers from a bomb on a runaway bus, The Matrix series saw Keanu back-flipping and levitating in a dystopian future.

For these roles, Keanu was seen leaping from the Speed bus to a moving car, while in The Matrix he performed martial arts.

In the first film, ex-hitman John came out of retirement to track down the gangsters that killed his dog.

In the 2017 sequel, he returned to the criminal underworld to repay a debt, but discovered that a large bounty had been put on his life.

Hitman John will find himself on the run again in the forthcoming film, set in New York.

Keanu’s character is forced into hiding when he finds out about a $14million contract on his life, then finds himself targeted for killing a man on Continental Hotel grounds.

John’s victim is believed to be a member of the High Table who ordered the open contract.

Oscar-winning James Bond star Halle Berry, 51, is joining Keanu in the all-star cast, alongside Anjelica Huston, Asia Kate Dillon and Jason Mantzoukas.

Rounding out the cast of the action film – helmed by Chad Stahelski, who directed the first two – are Jason Mantzoukas, Ian McShane and martial arts master Tiger Hu Chen.
