Jules Robinson’s first world problems: MAFS star whinges about the heat and getting ‘ripped off’ by locals as she enjoys a lavish trip to Italy – while most Aussies back home battle cost of living crisis

Jules Robinson is currently on a summer holiday at the gorgeous Amalfi Coast in Italy with her husband Cameron Merchant and their three-year-old son, Oliver.

And on Monday, the 40-year-old former Married At First Sight star took to Instagram to share her first world problems by complaining about the hot weather and service.

One photo showed the redhead sitting in a taxi looking frustrated while stuck in traffic, which prompted an epic rant.

‘Back in the £80 taxi for 20 mins up a hill. Yep I broke, tears and all. One of those days, a tipping point of relentlessly being ripped off by drivers,’ whinged the reality TV star.

She then complained she was charged an extra five pounds because she paid by card.

Jules also shared another photo of a crowd waiting to board a bus in front of a gorgeous Italian mountain range, and captioned it with some choice words.

’33 degrees but feels 45. People screaming and fighting to get on the bus. Yep, we ain’t fitting. #badbehaviour.’ 

Upon arriving at her hotel, she took the opportunity to vent about their service prices.

‘Welcome to out hotel! You know we have to pay £30 to use the pool. Each.’

Fortunately, her experience was not entirely negative as Jules later posted a snap of her looking refreshed and enjoying a drink while beaming at the camera.

‘Okay, let’s push start again,’ she wrote next to the photo.

Jules rose to fame in 2019 on Nine’s Married at First Sight, where she fell in love with her TV husband Cameron Merchant in front of the cameras.

The couple tied the knot legally later that year and welcomed son Oliver in September, 2020.

Jules’ comments come as most Australians face a cost of living crisis with the price of groceries, rent and energy skyrocketing.

Millions of Australians will pay more for their power in yet another cost of living blow with some customers seeing their bills increase by up to 50 per cent.

Earlier this month, AGL and Energy Australia warned power bills would soar by hundreds of dollars due to rising wholesale electricity prices and inflation.

Electricity prices in most states have seen hikes of 19 to 25 per cent under a new market offer set by the national energy regulator from July 1.

Finder analysis revealed some energy providers are charging over $800 more a year after the recent price rises.
