Kyle Sandilands ridicules ‘scaredy cat’ Scott Morrison for refusing to appear on his radio show

Why so scared, Scott? Kyle Sandilands ridicules PM Morrison for refusing to appear on his show despite offering to donate $30,000 to charity if he did

  • The Prime Minister refused to call up KIIS FM’s breakfast show on Wednesday
  • The shock jock even offered to donate $30,000 to charity for a phone call
  • Sandilands said the PM was ‘scared’ of him, as he refused to call in to the show
  • Morrison did however appear on Channel 7’s Sunrise, and Fitzy and Wippa

Scott Morrison has been branded a ‘scaredy cat’ by Kyle Sandilands, after he refused to appear on his KIIS FM breakfast show.

On Monday’s breakfast show the shock jock announced that he’d donate $30,000 to charity if the Morrison called into KIIS before 8.30am on Wednesday, but it was radio silence from Morrison’s end.

Sandilands, 47, has never been shy about his distaste for the Prime Minister, and used Monday’s breakfast show to air a montage of some of his own choice words for Morrison.

Kyle Sandilands said his radio show’s producers have invited Morrison to appear on the show on several occasions in past but the Prime Minister has always refused

‘This guy’s a scaredy cat,’ Sandilands remarked, ‘why won’t you come on here?’

In the past Sandilands has called Morrison a variety of colourful names, including ‘gronk’, ‘p***y’, ‘a slob’, ‘white and wobbly’, as well as a ‘gutless little toad’.

Sandilands, who co-hosts with Jackie 0 Henderson, said his radio show’s producers have invited Morrison to appear on the show on several occasions in past but the Prime Minister has always rejected the offer.

The host was hoping he could tempt Morrison, pledging to donate $30,000 to charity if he phoned up.

‘He hates us that much that I’m so confident he won’t ring up,’ Sandilands said at the start of Wednesday morning’s show.

But by the 8.30am deadline Morrison had still not called in, ‘they’re so scared. These people want to run the country. They want to protect us from everyone but they’re scared of us. Please’, Sandilands said on air.

‘They wouldn’t even answer our calls,’ Sandilands said about the Prime Minister’s media team. ‘They treated us like lepers, like we weren’t worth it.’

Although Morrison avoided KIIS FM this morning, he was more than happy to chat to Kyle and Jackie O’s rival breakfast show, Fitzy and Wippa, as well as Channel 7’s Sunrise and ABC News Breakfast.

The radio star’s comments come just days after the Prime Minister announced he’s preparing to slash Australia’s immigration intake.

A cap of 160,000 people per year is expected to be introduced, which drops the average annual intake from 190,000.

The Prime Minister defended bringing up the population debate so soon after the Christchurch terror attacks, where the alleged gunman is accused of being staunchly against Muslim immigrants.
