Lenny Kravitz says he’s a ‘blessed’ man to have a happy family amid his daughter Zoë Kravitz’s engagement to actor Channing Tatum.

The singer-songwriter, 59, was asked by Entertainment Tonight Thursday about the relationship between Zoë, 35, and Tatum, 43, as news of their engagement went public about two months ago.

‘Hey man, that’s life,’ the four-time Grammy winner said. ‘When your family is happy, when your child is happy, that’s it – I’ve done well.’

Zoë was subsequently spotted wearing an engagement ring estimated to be worth around $500,000 while out with her fiancé in Los Angeles November 21.

Lenny, the singer of hits such as Again, Fly Away and Are You Gonna Go My Way, was wed to The Cosby Show actress Lisa Bonet from 1987-1993. They went on to welcome Zoë on December 1, 1988.

Bonet subsequently welcomed two more children with her ex-husband, Aquaman actor Jason Momoa – daughter Lola Momoa, 16, and son Nakoa-Wolf Momoa, 15. They were married from 2017 thru 2022.

Lenny also spoke to the outlet about a birthday milestone in the next few months, as he turns 60 on May 26.

‘For me, I don’t think about numbers and time,’ the Let Love Rule singer said.

He continued: ‘I feel better than I ever have felt. Mentally, spiritually, physically… and so I’m glad I’m still here, man, let me tell you.’

Lenny spoke candidly about his history of relationships in a November chat with Esquire, saying it was difficult for him to stay faithful.

‘I won’t lie to you – being confident that this is the person for me, always thinking something else may be better … it was hardcore,’ he said.

The musical artist-actor left open the possibility he could get married in the future, with added life wisdom in tow.

‘The desire has always been there,’ Kravitz said. ‘The tools in which to do so have not always been there … I’ve grown enough.

‘I’ve become stronger. I’ve become more disciplined. I’ve become more open to be able to do so. But it’s been a very difficult thing for me to figure out.’
