Love Island’s Amy Day enjoys her first night out after completing quarantine

Amy Day looked very glamorous as she enjoyed her first night out on Friday in London, after completing her quarantine following a positive Covid-19 test.

The Love Island star, 25, was forced to isolate after she contracted the virus following several nights out, including a reunion dinner with former Islanders last week.

Amy, who was joined by AJ Bunker at Japanese restaurant Temakinho, donned a beige ab-flashing two piece with ruched detailing as she strode down the Soho street.

Amy contacted Covid days after she enjoyed dinner at STK restaurant in London on August 14 alongside Hugo Hammond, Aaron Francis, Harry Young, Brad McClelland, Georgia Townend, AJ Bunker, Chuggs Wallis, Lillie Haynes, Jack Barlow, Medhy Malanda, Danny Bibby, Sam Jackson and Lucinda Strafford.

It came amid claims two other former contestants have also tested positive for the virus since the dinner.

A source exclusively told MailOnline: ‘Following several nights out after quarantine, Amy started to to feel unwell at the beginning of the week and gradually worsened, feeling sick, sore throat and generally run down.’

They added: ‘She did a lateral flow test and followed it up with a PCR test which confirmed she had Covid. Amy had her first vaccination prior to Love Island and was due to have her second one this weekend. She is now in isolation but feeling better.

‘Amy has avoided getting Covid throughout the pandemic so it’s unfortunate to get it now, especially as she had some auditions coming up.’

The Sun reports that a further two islanders have tested positive.

Despite the group adhering to strict quarantine rules once arriving back in the UK, they were ‘excited to see each other and had been hitting the town’ once their isolation period came to an end.

The paper has not specified which other two islanders have tested positive for the virus.

MailOnline has reached out to representatives for all other Love Islanders at the dinner for comment.
