Lucy Mecklenburgh enjoys a smoothie as she relaxes in Barbados

Lucy Mecklenburgh soaked up the sun as she hit the beach with daughter Lilah, 10 months, in Barbados on Thursday. 

The former TOWIE star, 31, is on holiday with fiancé Ryan Thomas, 38, and their two children Roman, two, and daughter Lilah. 

Lucy dressed for the sunny climes in a brown swimsuit and patterned sarong which she tied around her slender waist. 

The TV personality showed off her bronzed tan as she went make-up free and wore her brunette locks in a low bun. 

Lucy shielded her eyes from the sun with sunglasses and appeared relaxed as she sat with daughter Lilah, who was in a pram. 

The reality star chatted away as she enjoyed her refreshing drink and took in the views of the idyllic island. 

The family are on the island celebrating her father Paul’s 60th birthday, as Lucy documented on her Instagram page over the weekend. 

The trip has been a welcome break for Lucy who previously  said she struggles to find the time to exercise as she is so busy looking after her two children. 

The star spoke about her post-pregnancy body in a Q&A as she said she had gone up two dress sizes and her busy life rarely leaves time to exercise – although she has made her peace with it  

During the chat one follower asked ‘Are you back to your pre-pregnancy weight? Do you exercise? diet? I don’t feel like me anymore’.

Lucy agreed, writing: ‘I understand, so many changes to our bodies so quickly it can feel like I’m unfamiliar with my body sometimes’.

‘I have wider hips a bigger tummy and boobs and two dress sizes bigger than before Lilah’.

She continued: ‘I’m around one stone heavier than before but try not to weigh myself a lot. I rarely have time for exercise but I love post natal pilates.

‘I try to walk a few times a week and run around after a toddler all day haha’.

‘Diet wise I have started to try and eat how I used to as much as possible mainly for energy and to feel good’.

She concluded: ‘Bath cooking helps and quick simple meals everyone in the house will eat. I don’t follow a restrictive diet just balance and variety’.

Ryan and Lucy announced the news of their daughter Lilah in May last year on social media alongside a sweet black and white snap of the baby’s hand.

They got engaged after two years of dating in 2019, with Lucy sharing a picture of herself and Ryan on Italy’s Amalfi Coast along with the caption: ‘I said YES.’

Ryan, is also dad to daughter Scarlett, 10, whom he shares with ex Tina O’Brien.
