There are numerous things that people do in the face of fear, and for one terrified passenger of a rollercoaster in the US, that meant going into sleep mode.

Footage taken on one of the rides at the Cedar Point amusement park in Sandusky, Ohio, captures the moments two friends prepare for an upside down adrenaline fix at high speed.

One friend, who the camera predominately focuses on, is beyond scared shaking his head, likely searching his memory for the answer to why he decided to ride the attraction in the first place.

His friend reassures him. ‘You’re going to be alright bro,’ he says.

The young man is so scared that he manages to pass out before the ride even begins.

He soon wakes up screaming, the rollercoaster taking its first drip and possibly thrusting him back to life.

But when the rollercoaster appears to pause, he begins freaking out – determined to get out of his seat, to which he is strapped in.

‘You’re good!’ says his friend. ‘Chill bro!’

He does just that, slumping forward in his seat, passed out again.
