A man has died following a brawl that broke out in a Macedonian restaurant in the early hours of Saturday morning.

The man was fatally stabbed at the Korzo Grill House in Caroline Springs in Melbourne’s West at 2.15am following reports of a huge fight, reports the Daily Telegraph.

A flyer entitled ‘Taste the Macedonia cuisine’ advertising a party at the grill house showed that a DJ and singer was hired to entertained guests, reports Nine News.

Police said a total of 30 people turned up at the private function.

But things soon turned ugly around 2am, when another group of people arriving in cars, gatecrashed and caused a ruckus at the party.

A huge brawl soon broke out resulting in a man in his 30s being stabbed.

At this stage, the reason for the brawl is still unknown. 

Paramedics attempted to treat the man at the scene but he had died shortly afterwards.

His identity has yet to be identified.

Investigations on the brawl are still ongoing with detectives seen at the scene on Saturday morning searching for clues.

Daily Mail Australia had contacted the Victoria police for comments.
