Guest judge Gordon Ramsay has injected some arguably long-overdue drama into the current season of Masterchef Australia.
On Wednesday, the notoriously prickly celebrity chef snapped at Blue Team leader Chloe Carroll, after she presented him food that tasted ‘like a rubber ball’.
‘Get your team together and start being a bit more authoritative, ’cause right now, I’m thinking of shutting this place down!’ he barked.

Gordon’s fury was due to the fact the teams were serving food to the public for the first time this series.
After asking Chloe to try a sample of the dish her teammates were making, the Brit lost it.

Gordon made the team captain taste the dish she was preparing to serve and she agreed: ‘I’m not happy with it. It’s overdone, over-processed.’

Naturally, Masterchef contestants will be hoping Gordon leaves as soon as possible – but fans on social media were applauding Ten for getting him on the show.
‘Can Gordon please stay longer than a week?’ one asked.
Concurred another: ‘Gordon Ramsay makes you realise how dull the (other) judges are.’
