This is the toe-curling moment the Duchess of Sussex accidentally let slip her husband’s pet name in front of dozens of onlookers.
Meghan and Harry were posing for a group photo with the cast of hit musical Hamilton in London on Wednesday night when she accidentally blurted it out.
After watching the show, the couple piled onto the stage for a snap when Meghan, standing directly in front of Harry, said: ‘Can you see, my love?’
The cast of the hip hop musical responded with a series of ‘Ahhs’ much to Meghan’s embarrassment.
The exchange took place while Harry and Meghan, centre, posed for a photograph on stage with the cast and crew of hit musical Hamilton – which they have already seen before
New footage has emerged of the exchange after it was shared on Instagram by a royal fan account.
Hip hop musical Hamilton tells the story of Alexander Hamilton, one of the Founding Fathers of the United States.
Ironically, the show pokes fun at one of Prince Harry’s distant relatives, King George III, who is cast as a comical and out-of-touch character.
But Harry clearly took it in good spirit. After the show he got on stage and burst into song, mimicking one of the tunes sung by his ancestor, with the words ‘you say’.
The audience clapped and cheered at his surprisingly talented antics. But Harry quickly cautioned them not to expect more, saying of the show’s creator: ‘He did try but I said no.’
He thanked the audience for raising hundreds of thousands of pounds for his charity, Sentebale, and to the cast and crew.
The playful exchange took place on Wednesday 29 August when Meghan and Harry attended a charity performance of hit musical Hamilton at London’s Victoria Palace Theatre (pictured)

He added: ‘I don’t know how you guys do this every single night, over and over again, and in this heat as well.’
The royal couple, who had already seen the show, was hosting Wednesday’s gala performance to raise money for Harry’s charity Sentebale, which supports children affected by HIV in Lesotho and Botswana.
Meghan had already seen the show twice, once with close friend Priyanka Chopra in New York and again earlier this year with Harry.
This week Meghan, 37, wore a racy £327 dress by Canadian label Judith and Charles and Paul Andrew pumps.
The couple were introduced to the show’s award-winning creator, Lin-Manuel Miranda, and his wife Vanessa Nadal before the group took their seats in the theatre’s Royal Circle.
