Since announcing her pregnancy, the Duchess of Sussex has been photographed in at least 75 outfits.
But not for her the stretchy dresses or comfy leggings most of us would favour when expecting. Instead, Meghan has brilliantly navigated a pregnancy in the spotlight without forfeiting her impeccable fashion credentials.
Avoiding most of the usual maternity brands, she’s stuck to bespoke, custom-made outfits by her favourite designers — some of the biggest fashion names in the world, including Dior, Givenchy and Valentino.
Coming in at £361,070, her maternity wardrobe is rumoured to have cost almost seven times more than the Duchess of Cambridge’s.
Her choices have been eclectic as well as expensive. With an extraordinary mix of styles, shapes, lengths, details and accessories, nothing has been predictable. The one consistent factor has been Meghan’s signature colour palette — navy, cream, white and black, with the occasional splash of a block colour such as the red Sentaler coat, matching heels and purple Aritzia dress for a royal visit to Birkenhead.
Here, Dinah Van Tulleken casts an eye over Meghan’s maternity wardrobe and puts a value on each outfit, including shoes, accessories and jewellery…
