Nathan Lyon’s fiancée Emma McCarthy sports a $2,000 Prada bag and $1000 Hermes sandals in Brisbane

She’s one of Australia’s hottest cricket WAGs, boasting model looks, a designer wardrobe and a huge diamond engagement ring. 

And Emma McCarthy, 28, looked glamorous as ever as she stepped out with her fast-bowler fiancé Nathan Lyon, 34, in Brisbane on Tuesday, just one day before the first Ashes Test. 

The real estate agent showcased her curves in a tight green top and high-waisted jeans, and toted a pink raffia Prada shoulder bag worth $2,000. 

Looking effortlessly stylish for the low-key outing, Emma completed her look with white Hermès sandals worth $1,000, a pair of acetate sunglasses and her large engagement ring. 

Nathan, who is competing against England in the Ashes, meanwhile wore a grey T-shirt, distressed denim cut-offs and a pair of white sneakers.

He topped off the ensemble with a baseball cap and sunglasses.

The couple were joined by Emma’s parents, who are no doubt thrilled about the prospect of their daughter marrying such a prominent sports figure. 

Emma and Nathan first sparked engagement rumours back in February, after she was seen in the grandstands wearing a huge diamond ring during Australia’s Test Match against India.

Nathan debuted his relationship with Emma in 2017, shortly after his messy split with ex-wife Mel Waring rocked the cricket community.

Nathan and Emma’s romance began in scandalous circumstances, as they had been caught kissing in Perth in late 2017 while Nathan was still with his ex, Mel.

The former couple share two daughters together, and Mel detailed their heartbreaking split in a post on her blog, Life of Lyons, in March 2018.

The single mother said her pain was ‘real and deep’ and recounted nights when she would lie in bed with her children and cry.

‘I didn’t ask for this, this wasn’t the way my life was supposed to be. He was my forever, he was my whole world,’ she wrote.

‘Until the very end I was 100 per cent devoted to our life and I loved every part of him and our world. This was like a bomb, it went off from behind.

‘I had to deal with [it] in a very public, humiliating and confronting way. A part of me died.’
