Bonnie Anderson says she’s been having ‘all sorts of weird feelings’ since becoming pregnant – as she vows to reveal her child’s gender ‘soon’

Bonnie Anderson announced she was expecting her first child earlier this month.

And the Neighbours star, 27, spoke about her pregnancy during an appearance on The Morning Show on Wednesday.

The singer and actress said carrying a child felt ‘weird’ at the start, but she’s excited for what’s to come.

‘The beginning was all sorts of weird feelings. Just your body changing, everything changing. It’s been really nice this last week. I’ve got my mojo back,’ she told hosts Matt Doran and Kylie Gillies. 

Bonnie and her fiancé Sam Morrison initially didn’t want to know the gender of their baby, but she later changed her mind.

She said she wants to keep it a secret between her and Sam for the time being, but hinted she may reveal it soon.

‘We do know [the gender], but we’re going to keep it for a little bit between us. Who knows, I might unleash the news soon,’ she said. 

The inaugural winner of Australia’s Got Talent also spoke about her engagement to Sam, which she announced in April.

She said with everything going on in their lives, they will have to wait to tie the knot.

‘There’s a lot going on. We’re renovating [our home] at the moment, pregnancy, engaged, it’s lots to take on. So we’re just going to wait until later next year to have the wedding,’ Bonnie said.

Bonnie was flooded with well-wishes from her former Neighbours co-stars when she announced her engagement two months ago.

She played Bea Nilsson on the long-running soap from 2018 to 2021.

Neighbours will air its last episode in August, and Bonnie returned to film a special appearance for the season finale.

She spoke about how ‘special’ it was to be a part of the show for three years. 

‘It’s been such a weird, surreal time for Neighbours ending. I did get to go back for the final episode which was really special,’ she said.

The expectant mother will appear on stage at The Music of James Bond with George Lazenby in September at the Darling Harbour Theatre.
