The Champions League ball for the 2019-20 season has been leaked.

The new design features the traditional stars that always feature on the match ball for Europe’s elite club competition along with a new colourful design on the other panels.

Flashes of yellow, red, blue and green all feature across the new ball, which will reach shops in August 2019 and cost around €150 (£130).

It will be used in the group stages of next season’s competition, with another design to feature for the knockout rounds.

The ball features the Adidas logo and the Champions League branding.

Unlike this season’s ball, the star panels are not connected together at the edges but instead overlap one another. This is likely to improve durability on the ball.

The materials and the upper structure used are the same as those that featured on the ball for the 2018 World Cup, the Adidas Telstar 18.
