Three pensioners were injured in east China after one of them fell backwards and slammed into two other women standing right behind her on a moving escalator.
A grandmother was carrying her grandson on the upward moving staircase at a metro station in Hangzhou city when she suddenly lost her balance.
A heroic passer-by saw the injured pensioners and immediately leaped over the handrail to help them.

Video footage of the incident on Friday in Zhejiang province shows an elderly women and her grandson taking the escalator at the bottom of the stairway at about 9am.
She was seen holding onto the handrail, but then lost her footing and started to tumble backwards.
The pair fell onto two elderly women standing right behind them, and all three fell onto the moving metal plates.
All four struggled to stand up as they were slowly taken upwards along the track.
A young man walking down the stairs adjacent to the escalator saw the pensioners and child and jumped over the handrail, rushing to their aid.
The three elderly women were found to have sustained minor scratches and were not seriously injured, according to City Express.
